Authentic — Described Honestly

Graded cards take the guesswork out of condition and authenticity. A professional slab from PSA, CGC or BGS tells you exactly what you're getting — authenticated, condition-scored, and sealed — which is why graded Pokémon cards are the standard for high-value collecting and investing. FENWIL-TCG carries slabs from all three major graders across vintage grails and modern chase cards.

PSA vs CGC vs BGS — Which Slab Is Which

PSA is the market leader with the deepest liquidity, so PSA-graded cards usually sell fastest and command the strongest prices. CGC has grown quickly and is well-respected, often offering sharper value on modern cards and detailed subgrades. BGS (Beckett) is prized for its subgrade breakdown and the coveted black-label pristine 10. All three are legitimate; PSA typically carries the highest resale premium, which matters if you plan to sell later.

Why Grade At All?

Grading does three things: it authenticates the card (no fakes in a real slab), it locks in condition so the card can't be damaged in a binder, and it protects value — a graded card sells for a defined, comparable price where a raw card invites haggling and doubt. For any card worth more than the roughly $15–20 grading cost, a slab usually pays for itself in confidence and resale.

Buying Graded The Smart Way

Check three things on any slab: the grade (and whether it's a value 9 or a premium 10), the grader (PSA generally resells strongest), and the cert number (verifiable on the grader's site). Then compare against recent sold comps for that exact card, grade, and label. We do this for every slab we list, so the price you see is the market price.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which grading company is best — PSA, CGC, or BGS?

All three are legitimate. PSA has the deepest market and usually the strongest resale value, CGC often offers sharper value and detailed subgrades on modern cards, and BGS is known for subgrades and its black-label pristine 10. For maximum liquidity, PSA is typically preferred.

Is it worth grading a Pokémon card?

Generally yes for any card worth more than the grading cost (about $15–20). Grading authenticates the card, locks in its condition, and gives it a defined, comparable resale value. Low-value cards usually aren't worth grading.

Can graded cards be faked?

Counterfeit slabs exist but are far rarer than fake raw cards, and every genuine slab has a verifiable certification number on the grader's website. We sell cards exactly as certified and back every order with eBay's Money-Back Guarantee.

How are graded cards shipped?

Slabs ship in a protective sleeve or team bag with corner protection inside a rigid box or bubble mailer, packed to survive transit and covered by full buyer protection.
